Taylor Dayne Sydney Australian Tour

Taylor Dayne, American freestyle music, and smooth jazz artist from New York City, is continuing to love her Australian tour and the many fans who still remember her.
The Diva who enjoyed mainstream popularity in the 1980s is wowing Aussie audiences and showing that she’s still got it.
Without her there may never have never been an Anastacia. Almost 25 years ago, the chart success of American dance-pop singer Taylor Dayne paved a golden road for the mighty-voiced white female soul-pop singers who came after her.
Tonight for Dayne it was Selina’s at the famous Coogee Bay Hotel in Sydney’s east.
The sensational Dayne sounded fresh and looked great in a blue, green, silver and orange sequin leotard. It was obvious she appreciated the audience and did a lot of eye contact and finger pointing at both fans and the lucky photographers on hand.
Dayne performed hits, including Tell It to My Heart, With Every Beat of My Heart, Prove Your Love, I’ll Be Your Shelter and Don’t Rush Me.
I loved the way she worked the stool, complete with cross over legs, working the audience, and of course the support dancers followed her lead. Oh, she still oozes sexiness also.
“You can shoot for the stars – and I think everybody should – but I remember having some very frustrating moments thinking ‘God, is it ever going to happen?’ ” she said.
“But from the minute Tell It to My Heart broke in Europe as a single – I remember I showed up at one store and there were 1000 kids dressed like me – I never looked back.”
Ms Dayne had said her Australian fans would not be disappointed when they came to see her, and she was speaking the truth.
"I have been performing for 23 years and I promise I will not come out looking like Taylor Dayne from 1988, but I will take my fans on a journey," she said. "It’s a soundtrack to their lives as much as mine."
The 49-year-old singer and songwriter lives in Los Angeles where she raises her two children, eight-year-old twins Astaria and Levi whom she had via a surrogate and without a partner.
"I wouldn’t have done it any other way, which is the story of my career," Dayne says. "No one has ever handed me anything. If you have a goal and a dream, I don’t think anyone can stop you. Kids and a career have both been the most difficult and satisfying things in my life."
Tickets to some of her Australian shows can be purchased for as low at , so snap them up. If you’re into music with heart and love Taylor Dayne is for you.
The Music News Australia network would like to publicly thank Taylor for putting on such a great show, looking our camera lots, and also the great folks at Lionel Midford Publicity for helping make it all possible.
Support was Andrew Lawson from The X-Factor fame. Mr Lawson continues to improve, building upon his foundation and fame from X-Factor. Mr Lawson was appreciative of the fans and did a good job of connecting with both them and the press that was present. We think his best days are still ahead of him, but it was a thumbs up.
All up, a great night of entertainment.

Most Fabulous Princess Costumes for 2011
Article by Melanie Rivers
With September drawing to a close, moms and dads across the nation are searching high and low for that perfect Halloween outfit for their young children. I have to say that Halloween costumes have changed drastically from when I was a child. No longer do kids have to endure those cheap plastic costumes and stuffy plastic masks — which is a good thing. However, now the choices for costumes are infinite, and how do you navigate the seemly endless barrage of catalogs and websites looking for your Halloween dollar?
Does your little girl want to be a princess for Halloween? If so, we’ve provided you with the greatest princess dresses of the 2011 Halloween season. Prior to the big countdown, we have a few general suggestions for your princess halloween. Our first suggestion is to order early. The best and most popularly-sized princess costumes sell out early! So if you don’t want to disappoint your little royal, please make sure to order her costume in September. Our second suggestion is to expand your horizons beyond the Disney line. All of the dresses recommended here are not Disney licensed products. You can find beautiful princess costumes that are similar in price to the Disney dresses, but in most cases they are much higher quality than the traditional Disney costumes. Your little girl can still be Belle or Cinderella for Halloween without having that picture of her favorite princess in the center of her dress.
Our first dress in the countdown for the top princess costumes in 2011 is the Primrose Maiden dress by A Wish Come True. If your daughter is interested in transforming into a beautiful renaissance princess this dress might just be for her. The knee length gown has a full poufy tulle skirt of white and hot pink and the bodice is white and gold with small hot pink bows down the front. The cap sleeves are made from see-through hot pink sheer fabric. The look is completed with a glitzy gold cone hat with flowing hot pink tulle from the top. This dress is beautiful and very unique. She’ll look so cute in this dress. It is available in sizes 3 to 10, and can be purchased at specialty stores for about $ 65.
If you’re looking for a big, poufy pink princess, dress then our third place finisher, the Peach Princess dress from Puppet Workshop, might be the one for you. If your little princess is interested in magically transforming into Sleeping Beauty on Halloween night, you should check out this gorgeous princess gown. Puppet Workshop does an amazing job with their princess dresses. If you are looking for in general a pink poufy princess dress, then Puppet Workshop will have a dress for you. Their Peach Princess dress closely resembles the dress worn by Sleeping Beauty in the Classic Disney tale. No need for a tulle underskirt here, this dress has tons of tulle built right in. Don’t be fooled, the name of this dress “Peach Princess” is a misnomer since the dress is most definitely pink. This dress is available in sizes 2 to 10 and can be purchased online for about $ 58.
The second place finisher for this year’s top princess dresses for Halloween 2011 is the Frog Princess Dress made by A Wish Come True. This princess was originally brought to us via a fairy tale written by the Brothers Grimm. Princess and the frog dresses became a “must have” when the Disney movie was released on the big screen on December 11, 2009. Why did this Princess and the Frog dress make the top list? Well, the lines and the fabrics of this dress are just gorgeous. And to top it all off, the dress is actually made in the USA! Some of the princess and the frog dresses look a little frumpy. Not this one! With a built in leotard, your little princess can jump like a frog one minute and dance like a princess the next without any worries that the dress will not stay put. This dress receives 5 stars from us! If you’ve never checked them out, A Wish Come True princess dresses are to die for! Absolutely top quality and built to last. The Frog Princess Dress by A Wish Come True is available in sizes from 3T up to size 10 and from most specialty retailers for around $ 55.00.
The winner of our 2011 most popular princess dress for Halloween is Rapunzel. This year’s princess Halloween parade is sure to begin and end with Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Rapunzel. The Disney movie “Tangeled” was released November 24, 2010, well after last year’s Halloween season, making it this years’ most desired princess dress. If your daughter or granddaughter dreams about transforming into Rapunzel this Halloween, be sure to check out the Standard Rapunzel dress ($ 29.99 at most stores) and the Deluxe Rapunzel Dress ($ 39.99 at most stores) by Little Adventures. The standard Rapunzel dress is a beautiful lavender princess dresses with the trademark crisscross of ribbons on the front. The deluxe model is slightly different, but just as beautiful, with two layers of lavender fabric in the skirt, making it appear more substantial when she walks. These dresses are both beautiful and practical (they are machine washable). However, if you are looking for the poufy princess look, be sure to purchase the Little Adventures pettiskirt for an additional $ 12. No Rapunzel costume is complete without a long flowing blonde wig. As we all well know, Rapunzel is well known for her long hair. A couple of options are available for a Rapunzel wig. Princess Paradise makes a quality Rapunzel wig that is braided with a lavender ribbon on the end. This wig is available in two sizes, 30 inch and 44 inch, making it an option for even small girls to become Rapunzel on Halloween. You can also select a long blonde wig without the braid which might get a little “tangled” but that might just be the look you’re going for.
Halloween will soon be here, and I’m sure your young children are anxious to select the perfect Halloween costume for 2011. Don’t disappoint them, so buy early so you ensure that their top selections are not sold out.
