I wanted to be an archaeologist…so obviously I became a civil servant and then a nurse
I have worked with many fossils in my time though….

PE teacher
I wanted to be an Astronaut and a Teacher, for a while I’m pretty sure I wanted to be an Ice Cream Man (drive the truck, free ice cream and all…)
I really wanted to be god,but hey a rockstar isnt half bad
I wanted to be a singer, actress, doctor, police officer, social worker, psychologist or artist.
So I became a teacher.
Which is the same thing really.
Just to get out their and earn cash..one big mistake

I wanted to be a teacher like my mum originally.
But then, it changed to journalist. I would have loved to be out reporting stories from danger zones. But sadly, i didn`t do either.
I always remember the Careers Advisor at school, advising anyone who didn`t know what to do, to apply to the banks. Bit of a safer career back then though. Lol.
I wanted to be a teacher…and now I’m doing what I need to do to, er, be a teacher lol.
However, I’d quite happily go into pharmacy too if the opportunity arose, but it is THE hardest thing to get into!!
I wanted to be a classical pianist…turned into an accountant. But I did get a degree in both disciplines. So, I did chase after the career I wanted as a child and was very broke after it. At least, I tried.
I wanted to be an artist. I had some talent but not the confidence to get the training. Plus other things came in the way.
I guess if I had been truly dedicated I would have found a way.
Still, my youngest grandson is 8 and has always shown talent in his drawings. He is colour blind so all his drawing are black and white. He doesn’t seem to be in the least bit interested in colouring them.
When he comes to stay we have art sessions together and I show him how to draw certain things. he only needs to be shown once. Maybe I will see him have my dream job
here I go wittering on again. I think I have typist diarrhoea. lol
I had a Meccano set as a child and wanted to be an Engineer, and for fifty years I was.
I wanted to be an air hostess.I’m glad I didn’t cos they’re just trolly dollies.
I wanted to be an archaeologist too, I was laughed out of the school room and told to consider being an estate agent or bank clerk!!
I ended up working in the theatre, and latterly after my kids were born, I became a mental health support worker.
